Castle Dome Middle School

Our School

Our Mission

Castle Dome Middle School provides a safe environment, allowing opportunities for all students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while becoming active citizens in their community.

Our Goals

The CDMS ASIP (Arizona School Improvement Plan) Committee compiled data from student assessments and the Arizona School Improvement Rubric Needs Assessment to identify six goals in an effort to improve our school climate and culture and student achievement.

We will:

  • Close the achievement gap by 10% for our Hispanic and low socio-economic subgroups.
  • Ensure all home-school communication is accessible to all parents.
  • Schedule parent meetings a variety of times.
  • Maintain English proficiency for all reclassified English Language Learners.
  • Integrate technology in at least 25% of all lessons.
  • Meet the needs of students in 100% of lessons using Differentiated Instructional practices.

Bring Your Own Device Program

We participate in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program developed by Alberta Education. BYOD refers to technology models where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning. Personally owned devices may include iPads, tablets, iPods, smart phones, laptop computers, and so forth. This cutting-edge program allows our students to receive instruction and educational materials on a state-of-the-art platform and prepares them to embrace the future—whether in a classroom or in the workforce.
